_Moriah Aman was founded by an independent Welsh Chapel in 1843 originating
from Sunday Schools and prayer meetings being held in local houses, one
of which was, 1 Pit Row, Cwmaman and the original buildings was built
and opened on 2nd/3rd October 1845.
Because of the expanding membership of the time, the Chapel was extended to its present architectural form in 1893 and the interior remained the same until 1989. Sadly due to a decline in Chapel attendance, the building had to be closed because of the financial upkeep required by such a large building, and it became available for purchase. We've included some photos in a small gallery on the left here, just as a historic record of our shared past. Just click on the image on the left to enlarge. If you have any photos of Moriah Aman Chapel or Cwmaman Pentecostal Mission, either you have some, or know of some, please do get in touch and we'd love to display them in a gallery on our site.
