                            OUR CHURCH DNA

God's will is for us to prosper and succeed - both individually as Christians ... and as a church.

"This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it.  For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success."  Joshua 1:8

At Moriah Aman it is our wish and desire that God's will be done for everyone ... and our intention to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to belong to a growing, successful, vibrant, exciting church where you will find God's Love in abundance.

But what is the make up of a successful church?  What are the components that cause it to succeed?  ...

                            ... must be outward looking

"All over the world this gospel is bearing fruit and growing." Colossians 1:6

We are the salt of the earth and the light of the world that means we must reach out to our communities.

... must create the right culture

Just as each country has a different culture so does each church, we just have to make sure it's the right one.

To create the right culture we have to develop the 'right culture' of love, acceptance, generosity and integrity.

                            ... must not compromise

Then He taught, saying to them, "Is it not written, 'My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations'?  But you have made it a 'den of thieves'."  Mark 11:17

We must have core values and a vision that we will not compromise, we must stay within the confines of scripture and always be a true reflection of who God is.

                            ... must be generationally minded

"Moreover He said, "I am the God of your father - the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob"  Exodus 3:6

God is the God of generations and he thinks generationally.  - Acts 2:17

                            ... must remain relevant

We are living in a changing world and we must change with it.

To remain relevant takes time hard work and creativity but is not optional.

                            ... must produce great leaders

The church is leadership dependent; we need leaders that have not only the title but also the traits.

We need to nurture and invest in our leaders if we want them to be great.

... must have the right focus

                            So he answered and said,
" 'You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind,'
and 'your neighbour as yourself'."  Luke 10:27

Love God & Love People  -  that is our focus!
If we stay true to that everything else will come together and be effective.
