    History of MACC - Beginnings

    Cwmaman Pentecostal Mission
The Pentecostal Mission was founded in 1920 and a Christian group originally met in a room above a stable, in Brynmair Road, Cwmaman. Later a brick Mission Hall was built on the site. The group meeting at the "Mission" were one of the first block of South Wales churches to join the newly formed Assemblies of God structure in 1924.

Ken Brown took leadership responsibility for the Cwmaman fellowship in 1982 and following a period of sustained growth began looking for a larger, more suitable premises for the group to meet. In 1989, Moriah Aman Independent Welsh Chapel, Fforchaman Road became available for purchase, and was secured.

A major refurbishment and alteration programme was started and slowly over the years (due to limited finances) the work progressed stage by stage to the tremendous resource that it is today.
